Samantha & Zack

Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.Romans 12:1

Honey's Heart...

Dear my sweet Blakely,
You spent the night with us for the first time a couple weeks ago. However, your second sleepover with ZB & Honey will go down in the record books as one of the most special nights to your Honey. I had a stretch of days off of work from the ER and came by just to visit you, your mom and dad on a Tuesday night. When I arrived you were watching Lion King and drinking a smoothie. I teased your mom that she must have added an energy boost to your vitamin smoothie because you were BOUNCING off the floors LITERALLY. You were dancing, singing, laughing, rolling on the floor and jumping up and down. You love to be the center of attention (we are not sure where you get this) and love to make the crowd laugh (still trying to figure out who you get this from also).

When I got ready to head home I said "Bye Bye Blakely. See you tomorrow." You RAN from the kitchen to my arms and gave me the sweetest "kissy kissy" right in the mouth. As I stood up to head out the door you started repeating "I wannna hold juuu, I wannna hold juuu, I wannna hold juuu." I picked you up and gave you more "kissy kissy" and assured you that I would see you the next day. When I tried to put you back on the floor you CLINCHED my neck and with some crocodile tears started repeating the "I wannna hold juuu...." phrase again and again. I picked you up and said "Do you want to go with Honey?"
Without any hesitation you nodded that beautiful head YES. I then asked "Are you going to go night night at Honey's house?"
Again without any hesitation you nodded YES.
My heart began to SWELL with JOY and EXCITEMENT.
I then said "Okay well tell you mommy to pack your stuff."
You quickly turned, looked your mommy straight in the eyes and said "STUFFFF."
Talking about MELTING HONEY'S HEART.

Earlier that day I had spent the day cleaning house so the TV was still blaring "The Message" music station when we got to Honey's house. One of my favorite songs had just started. I asked you if you wanted to dance and of course you did. Your Momsie had showed me how you loved to dance for Jesus. So we did. We danced and Honey sang "Jesus, Friend of Sinners" by Casting Crowns. I do not have a beautiful voice but you were so still, listening to every word I sang and looking me straight in the eyes as we danced around the living room. I had to fight back tears. I sang and prayed for you as we danced to a couple more songs. I prayed that you would come to know Jesus very soon and love Him with your whole heart. That you would always feel His love and peace and always want to sing, dance and praise Him alone. I thanked Him so much for allowing me to be your Honey, for the bond we share and that He would help me be a role model for you. I will never forget our special time that He gave us that night.....
After our dancing we watched some Umizoomi and Dora.

You love giving you ZB "kissy kissy".
I didn't quite catch the kisses but still thought it was a cute pic of you two.
You finally got tired around almost 8:45...
you usually go to bed around 7:30ish so needless to say
you were not even up for bath time you wanted you passy and blanket
and NIGHT NIGHT.
I laid down with you for about thirty minutes until you were sound asleep.
You are so cute to watch.
You have a soft pink blanket that never leaves your side especially when it is "night night" time. You love how soft it is and rub it in between your fingers and toes and across your face while going to sleep.
ZB and I are not used to anyone being home with us so it is funny how conscious we were of being quite after you laid down.

You also had started getting a little cold with runny nose and cough.
Every time you coughed you spit your passy out.
Right before I was getting ready to come to bed with you....you had a coughing spell.
The passy was missing and you were not happy about it.
ZB found it, put it back in its right location and laid down with you while Honey brushed her teeth....
When I came back in to get into bed with you, ZB had you cuddled up in his arms in the bed.
It was another one of those MELTING HONEY'S HEART moments.
He loves you so much.
Before he got up he kissed you and told you how much he loved you and he hoped you slept good.
It is amazing what a blessing it is to watch someone you-love someone else that you love.
It was a tiny glimpse of what it will be like watching ZB with your little Baggett cousins one day.
Honey will probably just be constantly choking back tears.....
I just love you all with my whole heart.

You and I slept in the guest bedroom since it was a work night for ZB.
(I am not sure what this means when we have children.....
I hope he doesn't permanently kick Honey out)
However, I am glad we chose to sleep separately because you "FLOPPED" all night.
Once I woke up and we were both diagonally across the bed.

You woke up at 6am the next morning.
You are so precious when you wake up after a good nights sleep.
You just smiled and rubbed Honey's face as I talked sweet "good morning love" to you.
I said "Good morning Princess" and gave you kissy kissy all over that face and that little belly.
Your grinned and laughed then sat straight up, looked around and said "ZB"

I love how smart you are and knew that your ZB was suppose to be with us.

We got up, made some coffee for Honey and you enjoyed milk, fruit loops and Dora.

You are a precious girl who has completely stolen your Honey's heart.
I hope you will always feel like Honey & ZB's house is home away from home.
We love you so much and can't wait until our next sleep over.
Love always, Honey
