Love and I went to revival this week at Wadley First Baptist and The Holy Spirit spoke right to my heart each night!! I just wanted to share what God spoke to me. Thankful for men like Greg Norred who are obedient to God's calling and preach His Word!!

loved, was reclining next to him.

Now
there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
The disciple
whom Jesus loved was John. That night at the last supper instead of running
around worried and denying God like Peter or counting money like Judas….He was
reclining next to Jesus or better yet he was “leaning on Jesus’ bosom”. He was
AS CLOSE to Jesus as he could possibly be…..
Then later in
John 19:25-26 we see that John is at the
foot of Jesus’ cross and there Jesus tells him to take Mary (mother of Jesus
home) and take care of her.
You see John
wanted to be as close to Jesus as he possible could….even if it meant sitting
or standing where it wasn’t comfortable or popular!
Because he was
willing to sit or stand as close to Jesus as possible…Jesus allowed him to
serve Him in the most honorable way…John was allowed to take care of the mother
of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!! What an amazing opportunity……
Where are you
sitting or standing today??
Are you as
close to Jesus as you possibly can be????
Are you
willing to sit or stand where maybe it is isn’t comfortable but it is with
JESUS…..
You might miss
out on serving Him in mighty ways depending on your position!!
I desire with everything in me to be as close to Jesus as I possibly can. I want to be like John not worried about what is going on around me, the past, or even what tomorrow or the next hour hold.....I just want to be so close that I can feel Him at any moment of any given day. I pray that I will sit and stand close by Him so He can show me where I can best serve Him all my days here..........
