Then on Tuesday, I taught Mock Hospital at the Auburn but had my bags packed to sleep over with Mammy. Mammy and I enjoyed a yummy dinner celebration at MaFia's. Then I tried to go to sleep...BUT ended up seeing every hour on the clock, dreamed I missed the birth of my second niece SO I just go up at around 4:30am and got ready for the big day (Jan.22, 2014).
I went through McDonalds for my favorite breakfast~egg white delight and grande coffee~
I was parked at the hospital by 6am....
Matthew and Leigh were not scheduled to be there until 7am.
(I know I know I AM OUT OF CONTROL-and that's what Leigh said too when she texted me that they were leaving Wadley and I responded I was already at the hospital)
I didn't want to miss anything people! :)
So The Allen's made it and our day began...
We were so blessed with the most precious nurse and family friend,
Laura Nan who was also with us when Blakely was born.
By 8am we had an IV and Pitocin was dripping!
Momsie made it by 9 and then Nonnie and Dap-Dap came around lunch.
We stayed around 5cm from lunch into the afternoon.
Poor Blakely couldn't come to the hospital at all because of the scary flu epidemic.
Aunt Ashlee was sweet to let her hang out with her all day
and even FaceTime with Honey!
Around 5pm we began progressing a little more....
I was honored to stand at the bedside and hold my best friend/sister's hand
as she brought are 2nd little miracle into the world at 5:40pm
Words can't describe the feelings of my heart!!
She was perfect.
She didn't cry except for maybe a few seconds and then she was very seriously checking out her surroundings. She stretched those long legs out as far as they would go on the scales.
She weighed 6lbs 7oz and 20in long.
I was able to be apart of the recovery too and just look at that beautiful bug!!
Then we welcomed some of the rest of the family in to meet her....
Love and I made a quick trip to Longhorn with Mammy for a celebration dinner
and then I went back to the hospital until around 11pm to get some more loving...
AND ANNOUNCE HER NAME....
EMORY "EMMY" LEIGH ALLEN
