Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.Romans 12:1

CAUGHT IN THE RAIN....

So almost to the date a year ago...ZB and I got caught in a little rain storm at the farm. Out of no where, the rain poured today soon after we were in the middle of the pasture. After we were completely soaked but safe under the barn, a gorgeous rainbow appeared! Neither of us had our phones to snap a picture but that's when I began to think and pray for what God wanted me to learn from this little non-coincidental annual farm tsunami.
A picture is just the outside of people or the superficial beauty of a place. It's a snap shot of something temporary. It doesn't matter how many pictures I take or places I visit, the heart of people is what matters. Worldly treasures are temporary and we must seek eternal ones! Rain storms come quick and surprise us much like I believe JESUS will....He is coming quick and it's going to surprise us all. But until then, even in the storms of life, He is a God who is mighty and faithful. He is a God who keeps His promises and even sends us reminders with beautiful details like rainbows of those promises and His love!
However, rainbows can fade quickly so don't miss them. Don't miss the reminders God sends you. This means also to not miss opportunities from Him by not looking for them or being in too big of a rush.
Rainbows are brighter depending on your position. It matters where you are and where you go. Be careful to place yourself in places and situations that align with the brightness of Jesus.
Look through the rain to the rainbow. Sometimes we focus way too much on the rain in our lives. Thankful for the rain today. It's not always easy to be thankful for rain in our lives but we can cling to the Truth that a big beautiful rainbow is coming!!! Look to JESUS! Pray to Him! He listens....He answers! (I also did snap a few pictures once we made it back to our cars!) ‪#‎sabbath‬‪#‎soakedsunday‬
