IT'S HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE THAT I CAN EVEN STATE THAT SOMETHING IN MY LIFE HAPPENED 20 YEARS AGO.....I MEAN I AM ALL OF 21 AND HOLDING RIGHT!?!?!?!
BUT - 20 years ago my sweet Papa John & Granny (JoyceandJohnny Davis) would introduce me at the tennis courts at Maxwell Air Force Base as "Miss Samantha Kaye Fetner for Team USA performing her floor exercise routine"! They would cheer as if there were a true gold medal awaiting the end of the night!!! Truly those are golden memories I will never forget!! FUNDRAISER FOR 4 CORNERS MINISTRIES
THE GIRLS AND I BOUGHT LIFE BEADS FROM AFRICA
AND CHEERED....AL DAY LONG....SOME OF US MADE IT LONGER THAN OTHERS!
SUNDAY AFTER CHURCH I GOT TO HANG WITH SOME MORE FUN GIRLS....
WE CELEBRATED BRIAN'S 40TH BIRTHDAY WITH A BALLOON SEND OFF TOWARD HEAVEN AND A COOKOUT WITH ONE OF HIS FAVORITE DESSERTS, OREO ICE CREAM
Brian always wanted a good laugh and prank going on!! When I was a very young girl before ZB began attending Caldwell Christmas Brian would pick at me about my "boyfriend Jerome" I had hiding in the car. As I got older, we had many words about Auburn vs. Alabama football and a lot of fun cheering for each other's opposite teams. I didn't remember Brian before his accident. I just remember every family members house we went to became handicap assessable for his chair. I am so thankful that Brian was born into a family who loved and helped unconditionally. Mona, Tommy and Derrick were always making sure Curley had everything he needed and more. Brian made assisting him so easy though. In all my 25+ years I got to spend with him, this was what I saw. This smile, laughter, jokes, fun, celebrating and a whole bunch of either racing, hunting or AL football!!! I cherish our cookouts and "meetings" of Buck N Strut Hunting Club! I am thankful for the group of guys that stick together and have so many memories to tell. I wish I could play just a small clip of the videos Brian made for the club!! He was talented, very sentimental and he loved big. I'm a better person just because I knew him but I'm truly grateful he was my friend and my cousin. So today I ask you to pray for those that miss him but share your favorite memory of him!! Laugh and love big because that's what he would want us to be doing!! Brian, today I'm making Oreo ice cream in your honor and I may just wear an Auburn t-shirt because you wouldn't expect anything else from me!!! We love and miss you always! HAPPY 40th TO THE WORLD FAMOUS BRIAN KNIGHT!
