SHANNON AND TREY WERE SO SWEET TO TRUST ME WITH RY'S VERY FIRST SLEEPOVER. MY HEART WAS SO FULL AND COULDN'T WAIT TO PICK HIM UP!! YALL.....HE IS THE MOST PRECIOUS BABY. HE NEVER CRIED ONE TIME FROM SAT AT 1PM TO NOON THE NEXT DAY. HE IS SO CHILL. HE LOVES TO BE ROCKED. HE ATE FROM A DOLLAR GENERAL BOTTLE LIKE A CHAMP. (BLESS HIS PARENTS! THEY PACKED ME ENOUGH BREAST MILK FOR DAYS BUT WE FORGOT A BOTTLE!)
HE LOVED MY CHRISTMAS DECOR.
HE OBSERVES EVERYTHING.
BATH TIME IS HIS FAVORITE.
HE LOVES TO SOAK AND RELAX.
HE GIVES SERIOUS LOOKS WITH DEMANDING EYEBROWS.
HE KEPT LOOKING AT ME LIKE "HONEY, NO MORE PICS WHEN I'M SOAKING!"
THEN HE WOULD LAUGH.
HE DOESN'T EVEN CRY WHEN HE WAKES UP.
HE WILL KICK HIS BLANKETS AND JUST LOOK AROUND.
WHEN I WOULD LOOK OVER IN HIS PACK N PLAY HE WOULD JUST GRIN BIG!!
WE GOT IN BED AROUND 8ISH
HE SLEPT UNTIL 2 AND WANTED A LITTLE MILK.
HE SNUGGLED TIGHT TO ME AND WENT RIGHT BACK TO SLEEP AFTER HIS BOTTLE.
THEN HE WAS WIDE AWAKE, HAPPY AND READY TO TALK AT 5AM.
WE TALKED, LAUGHED AND LISTENED TO CHRISTMAS MUSIC FOR OVER AN HOUR.
HE WOULD RUB MY FACE AND ARMS AND GAZE AT ME WITH THOSE BIG BLUE EYES.
THEY LITERALLY OWN ME!!!
WHEN HE WAS READY TO REST AGAIN HE SNUGGLED UP TO ME ABOUT 6:40 AND SLEPT PEACEFULLY UNTIL 10AM.
I WAS NERVOUS ABOUT TAKING HIM BACK BY MYSELF BECAUSE ZB DROVE US THE DAY BEFORE. HE WATCHED ME CAREFULLY AGAIN WITH THOSE BIG BLUE EYES AS I BUCKLED HIM IN AS IF HE WAS LIKE "OK WHERE ARE YOU TAKING ME NOW LADY??"
AGAIN, HE NEVER FUSSED.
BEFORE WE WERE IN ABANDA, HE WAS OUT!
HE SLEPT THE WHOLE WAY TO AUBURN AND WAS EXCITED TO BE BACK AT HOME WITH HIS PARENTS.
THEY HAD MISSED HIM SO MUCH BUT HAD FUN AT A FRIEND'S WEDDING.
IT WAS BY FAR MY MOST FAVORITE SATURDAY THAT I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER.

Since I’ve had a “home of my own”, decorating my mantel is more fun to me than the tree. Each year, I’ve tried to coordinate a color scheme or theme. Trey & I grew up loving Disney and our Fetner grandparents always had a Disney tree. We especially loved this Mickey Cuckoo Clock. I thought Ryker May be too young this first Christmas to really enjoy it but HE LOVES IT! I wish I had a video of how his eyes sparkled and the big giggles that sounded when the characters began their songs! My heart couldn’t prepare itself for the joy that was to come this Christmas. I’m excited about making time for magical memories with those I love each coming year. However, deep in my heart, I know there is no magic to it. This precious baby boy is another blessing from the Lord that I humbly add to my list. My heart keeps growing so big with love for the precious people Jesus places in my path that somedays it feels as if it might explode. Today was one of those days. I cry thankful tears tonight because I’m overwhelmingly grateful for the gifts God has given me.
