Every year has been a little different but always so special.
On Saturday, we celebrated a little early by going out with some
of our favorite friends to dinner and a movie.
After a LONG day and night in the ER yesterday, I traveled to Sylacauga Wal-Mart and did a little grocery shopping so Love and I could have a yummy Valentine breakfast!!
It was extra delicious and far from nutritious....
SO I baked cookies for good measure too..... :)
After our meal, I went to visit my Daddy and Leigh & B!
When I returned home I found this on the kitchen counter...
Not only my FAVORITE candy but the most PRECIOUS note!!!
Nothing else melts my heart like a sweet "Love note" from Love!
Thanks Zack for so many wonderful years and fun memories....
When I think back over our Valentine's Day in the past I remember working for weeks prior to Feb.14th to find or create the perfect gift!!
I would always be so nervous about our special date that night...
have to find the most perfect outfit....
the most romantic, special card
It is funny how time changes things!!
Every year has been BETTER than the one before!
We are blessed with a precious love story that bewilders us both sometimes
thinking back over the years and how it all came together.......
I love our little small town married life in Wadley......
however, yes I am going to vent on this subject for just one moment!
For the past SEVERAL MONTHS the Town of Wadley
has been "repairing" the water lines.....
at least I guess that is what they are doing. No one has knocked on my front door and explained one thing to be about all the chaos BUT
to say the least they have dug up every inch of town!!!
Some roads look like war zones and they ventured over to our side of town, my street and my yard about a week ago!!!
Many DAYS over the past several weeks I have turned on the faucet only to find a small drip of water or like THIS MORNING NO WATER AT ALL......
Yes, at 7am NO WATER and it has been OFF ALL DAY!!!
I really wanted to be REAL SWEET today and let this post be all about LOVE
BUT
I hope the town of Wadley turns our water back on soon
or Love will be coming back home to
the same greasy headed, flannel pj wearin Valentine and dirty kitchen that he left behind this morning.....
Thankfully this is not our first Valentine's Day so if I don't have a shower and such by the time he gets home we can just reminisce about one of the years I looked real cute when he came to pick me up right???
