To KNOW HIM EARLY....

I pray daily for Blakely.....ok more than once daily probably. Just whenever I think of her I may send up a little message to God. 

I do that for a lot of people....you know when someone crossed your mind.....I just send up a little something for them.

There are so many things that I pray for Blakely but one specific prayer I have prayed since she was born and one that is most important is "Lord, help Blakely to KNOW YOU at an early age and to put her faith and trust in YOU ALL THE DAYS OF HER LIFE."

With that being said.....I must share with all of you some of the most precious moments I have experienced with Blakely over the past month......

YOU ARE GOING TO THINK I AM MAKING THIS UP......

Because quite frankly, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

BUT I am not making it up, couldn't make this up if I wanted to and wouldn't make it up because it is about God ya know (that would be totally messed up) so anyway......

About a week or so ago...Leigh and I were standing in her kitchen talking while she was making B some mac-n-cheese. 

Leigh: "Blakely, here it is but it is very.."

CUT OFF by Blakely: "BERY BERY HOT...IT WILL BURN THE BABY'S TONGUE!"

(laughs from me and Leigh)

Honey: "Yes, that's exactly right...so make sure you blow it!"

Leigh: "Blakely, you also need to bless your food before you eat it."

(All three of us put our hands together, bow our heads and with eyes closed I hear.....)

Blakely: "Dear Jesus, thank you for food. Thank you for Honey and Mommy. Amen."

(tears flowing from Honey & BIG SHOCKED EXPRESSIONS from me & Leigh)

Honey: "Leigh, did she really just thank Jesus for us while blessing her food???!!!"

Leigh: "Yeah...so sweet."

Y'ALL...That is beyond PRECIOUS AND SWEET!......That at 2 years old is a miracle....and I'M NOT DONE!

3 days ago at Sunday lunch, Blakely was asked to say the blessing!

Blakely: "Dear Jesus, thank you for the food. Thank you for Dap-Dap cooking us supper."

(Dap-Dap aka Mr.Danny who is our family chef)

OH and I'm still not done......

Sunday night I get this text from Leigh which included Blakely's prayer before she went "night night".....

Blakely: "Thank you Jesus for Mommy reading books and Daddy bringing batteries. Thank you for night night and getting up to go to 'quarium. Thank you for Jesus. Amen."

LIKE I SAID....I COULDN'T MAKE IT UP IF I WANTED TO.......

I KNOW SHE IS "KINDA MINE" BUT Y'ALL I AM SO THANKFUL!!!

WE ARE SO VERY BLESSED WITH A SMART, SWEET GIRL WHO IS BEYOND HER YEARS....

At 2 years old she is talking to Jesus just like a friend!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!

What an AMAZING friend to have.....I continue to PRAY that she thinks of Him ALWAYS as a FOREVER FRIEND and that very soon she will come to know Him as her Savior and King!!

Oh what JOY when I know that I know that I know that my beautiful niece has invited our sweet Jesus to be the King of her heart!

I am just a very THANKFUL & BLESSED Honey!!! 

Thank you Jesus for children and for child-like faith.....May we all talk to you as the friend that you are.....

and as for the "'quairum" she mentioned in her prayer.....we DID go and HAD so much FUN that it is going to have it's own post :)
