LYLAS ~ love you like a sister.
For us, we love bigger than even that. This family we chose. We choose to meet each other where we are even when it’s not pretty. We’ve experienced hurt & heartbreak this year. We’ve also celebrated happy moments. We are grateful for our health & the moments that humble us. We are not perfect but perfect for each other. Days with these ladies make me better. For 10 years, I’ve had sisters that have blessed me beyond measure. I’m forever grateful for their love and laughter. I’m the baby yet they keep me young!! Thanks for the best days together always!!

Like a child staring up at a sky of a billion stars, may you never let go of that childlike wonder, for that is exactly how you were created to look up at your Father.
⠀
Through all the things in your life that have not made sense, by His grace, there is still room to come and learn more of who He is. And even though there are still so many things that cloud your vision from time to time, may you bravely pursue Him with every breath and keep your eyes ever on Him, for you have been carrying so much lately, and you will only be able to make it if you continue to look to Him.
⠀
His Love will be what pursues you in your own personal wilderness. It will be what leads you back into the open fields of His grace where you can begin to trust, to rest, and to heal.
⠀
He is such a loving, caring, and compassionate God and He will always sustain your heart. Again and again, He will remind you that it is okay to rely on Him; completely, wholly, desperately because after all, that is exactly how He always intended for it to be. Since the very beginning, He has always called you to look to Him, for everything.
⠀
Find rest in the open fields of His grace today. The world is spinning, but Light is winning, and there is room to rest and be refreshed here, and with every breath, draw closer to Him.
⠀
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
-Psalm 23:1-3

I’m grateful to say that 2021 had so many precious moments that I can’t really recap it! Sure, there were moments that I regret too. Sometimes, the bad memories make us embrace the new year as a fresh redo! Recently, when I was overwhelmed, a precious friend told me a story of what she used to tell her children in church. When the children would get distracted, she would tell them to roll up their church bulletins and look straight at the preacher. She immediately, sweetly said to me, “Sam, roll up your bulletin and look straight at Jesus!”
ππΌ♥️
That’s my game plan for 2022.
No matter what distractions this world throws at me, I’m going to roll up my bulletin and point it straight at my Father’s face.
When I focus on Jesus, everything else falls into place.
π€©
Lord, help me to focus on the people right in front of me. Help me to focus on the minutes ahead of me and the moments of each day. Help me to focus on being more like you with my actions and words.
♥️ππΌ “But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.” Romans 8:6b
π§or☀️ bring it on 2022!
