Samantha & Zack

Samantha & Zack

Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.Romans 12:1

Freedom, farm and family...

Memorial Day Weekend made me think of Skeet,  Zack's grandfather and his best friend. I was honored to have met him and know him for several years before his passing. One of my favorite memories of Skeet (Mr.Bob Bailey) was his blessing at Sunday lunch. He always prayed for Grandmother, his precious wife and never forgot our service men and women and country leaders. His prayers were as perfect and sweet as Grandmother's homemade caramel pies. They both always made me and Grandmother continues to make me feel so very special and loved.

Zack is so much of the man he is today because of those two people. I am thankful that when he thinks of his greatest role models he picks the two of them. Skeet instilled in Zack his love of farming. Memories on that farm of those two together go back way before Zack was old enough to be driving anything much less heavy machinery.....but he did with Skeet.

This tractor in the following pictures dates back even before those memories....
The tractor was Skeet's dad, John C. Bailey. What a precious picture this is to me.....
Amazing men who have not only passed down their love for freedom in the USA, farm life and family but memories that will last for generations to come....
